Free Clothing Cupboard

Our agency is able to provide clothing for children, youth and adults at no-cost through our Clothing Cupboard Program. Items such as coats, sweaters, shirts, pants, pant suits, socks, underwear, hats, mittens, gloves, shoes and boots – occasionally ice skates too – are items often available in the cupboards*. We are able to provide this program due to generous donations from members of our communities. *Availability is subject to change.

Our clothing cupboard location in New Hamburg is available to visit by appointment on Wednesdays.

Our clothing cupboard location in Wellesley is open to visit on on pre-scheduled dates. Follow us on social media or give us a call for our next drop-in date!

Donating Items to the Clothing Cupboard Program

If you are interested in donating clean and in-season *very gently-used* and/or *new* items, please email our Client Care Coordinator at harpreet@wilmotfamilyresourcecentre.ca to arrange drop-off at our office location in New Hamburg. We do not offer clothing donation drop-off at the Wellesley location due to space limitations. The sorting and organization of clothing items are completed by dedicated volunteers at our New Hamburg location.

*Please do not drop off donations at the Centre without an appointment*

We are able to accept the following:

New OR Gently-Used condition: clothing, shoes, boots, pant suits, outdoor wear, bedsheets, quilts, baby blankets, towels, small stuffies.

New: socks, underwear, bras, cloth diapers, bathing suits, baby and children’s toys, youth games/puzzles/activities, and stuffies.

Items we cannot accept due to external regulations and/or storage space include: baby equipment (ex. cribs, bouncy sets, breast pumps, playpens, ride-on toy, booster seats, highchairs, car seats), baby & children’s used toys, puzzles, games, furniture, household appliances & goods).
